So far, there have been several standout individual performances which have wowed fans the last two matchdays and football fans cannot wait to see these performers grace their television sets with an encore.
Two players who caught the eye last week and impressed for both their teams in the same game were Chelsea’s Mason Mount and Leicester City’s James Maddison.
Both young attacking midfielders involvement and influence on all the things good for their teams was evident for all to see last weekend.
It is good to see Mason Mount taking on the mantle of Chelsea playmaker and rising to the occasion especially at only 20 years of age. His enthusiasm has been really impressive.

Maddison, 22, appears to have taken his good form from last season to this campaign which is a good sign for fans and neutrals alike because of his eye-catching style of play.

Mount’s man of the match performance was an all-round effort. He covered ground, was confident on the ball in space and congested areas, was willing to press and was not afraid to go for goal.
His aggressive pressing and recognition of his man dallying on the ball that made him capitalize and open the scoring for the Blues.

Maddison was a real trouble maker for the Chelsea defence. He was getting into good spaces between the lines and attacking aggressively. He created three chances for his mates and could have tucked one away himself.
He also provided the assist for Wilfred Ndidi’s header from a corner kick to equalize for the Foxes.
Both players had good games for their teams last time out and they would not be bet against to continue in the same vein this weekend.
Both teams play newly promoted sides this weekend away from home with Mount’s Chelsea playing Norwich and Maddison’s Leicester playing Sheffield United.
Both teams will be hoping their young starts continue to produce more impressive performances that will hopefully lead to results away from home in games they are favourites to win.
With the international break in the horizon, Gareth Southgate will surely be keeping a close eye on both to starlets at work in view of choosing his next England Team.
