United’s game against Southampton clearly showed that Paul Pogba does not want to play for the club anymore.
The Frenchman put up a disappointing performance against the Saints last weekend in the game that ended in a 1-1 draw. It was widely perceived to be deliberate and also childish.
Pogba made a lot of sloppy passes and had a nonchalant attitude towards the outcome of the game. He also refused to play well with his partner, McTominay as he made just one pass to him in the first half and the latter did the same in the second half.
Paul Pogba passed to Scott McTominay just once in the first half.

Pogba had already made his intentions known to the Red Devils that he wants to leave but United frustrated all efforts to let him go.
As a result of this, he is now hell-bent on frustrating the club.
The French player joined the club in 2016 on a world- record fee transfer fee of £89million and has scored a total of 24 goals and made 25 assists in the Premier League so far.
He also won the League Cup and Europa League in his first season at the club. He has been the key player in Manchester United since then but right now it seems he is no longer comfortable playing for them.
This could be as a result of couple factors.
Due to the fact that the midfielder was bought with a world-record fee, there has been a lot of pressure from the fans on him to deliver always and also to score more goals forgetting the fact that he is a midfielder and not a striker.
This has been one of his major challenges. Pogba’s style of play on the field is to make long through passes and thereby create chances but the fans seem to want more.
Also, when things go wrong most times he is the one to be blamed for it. Lukaku, who left the club for Inter Milan made reference to this in an interview recently. He said,
“They have to find somebody. Either it’s Pogba, or it’s me, or Alexis. It’s the three of us all the time. A lot of people don’t think I should be part of their system. That’s my feeling. Conversations that I have, I just know.”
This season has not been a good one for Pogba. His penalty miss against Wolves did not only strip him of his penalty “piece taking” role but also brought about racial abuse, as so many fans took to Twitter to say nasty things about the French man.
With all these controversies surrounding him playing for United, the midfielder is not happy and probably wants to go.
Paul’s last game showed nothing but unprofessionalism as his attitude does not justify the fact that he is a world-class player.
His deliberate decision to play badly cost Manchester United a victory. Pogba should be allowed to leave, keeping him in the team will be dangerous as his loyalties no longer lie in the club and can act a “Trojan horse”.
