Leeds United v Brighton – Betting Preview
Leeds United Summary
Leeds host high-flyers Brighton this Saturday in a hugely important contest where a win could lift them away from the drop zone.
They begin the EPL round level on points with 18th-placed Everton, and with big pressure on them at home to get the points. The stadium will be full and the fans behind the side and expecting at least a draw.
Javi Gracia won his home debut in the match against Southampton but this is a far trickier match.
The motivation and atmosphere will be excellent and they will aim to win the game with Brighton.
However, a draw is not a terrible result considering how well the seagulls are playing.
Team news throws up nothing of significance new relative to their last game. The long-term important regulars all sit out including Dallas, Forshaw, and Cooper.
Brighton Summary
Sitting in eighth place but with two or three games in hand of those above them, Brighton is within touching distance of 4th place before the trip to Leeds United.
Life without Graham Potter has become that not only they are just as strong on the pitch, but Brighton is also playing more entertaining football with better results.
They tore West Ham apart in a 4-0 drubbing last time out in the home game. Roberto de Zerbi will send the side out to win in Yorkshire and increase their chances of getting into the top six.
The Italian says the club knows what to expect from Leeds and they go with decent team news, although there is a concern with the in-form Solly March. The classy winger has played so well this season that he is being tipped to make the next England call up.
The winger is in sparkling form and so would be a miss if he cannot pass fit.
The speedy young right back Lamptey is also a doubt.
Betting Analysis
Looking at the 1×2 market first. Brighton is the favourite to win @ 1.95.
Leeds is the home side and will need to play their best to win this match. The host is @ 3.80 to win. The draw is @ 3.75.
Moving onto the Asian handicap betting for this contest. The home side Leeds are still benefiting from the new manager bounce, so they look attractive +0.5 @ 1.95. If they win then 1-0 is the most likely way they achieve it.
Brighton is in good form, but if Solly Marsh misses out then they will not dominate or create as easily. Brighton -0.5 is @ 1.94.
Looking at The Under/Over goal betting last of all. The line is at 2.5. Over is @ 1.84 and Under @ 2.01.
Leeds will respect Brighton and the boss will be keen for his side to play with defensive discipline first and foremost. If the Leeds gameplan works then a tight and low scoring game is probable.
At the same time, both teams have flair and attacking men which can get a goal from nothing. All things considered, easy pass on goals, but leaning toward under.
