They are managed by ex-Celtic midfielder Scott Brown. He was very much a hard-man type defensive midfielder and demands the same commitment from this team.
Fleetwood’s recent upturn in wins owes plenty to an excellent defensive record.
They have kept four consecutive clean sheets and haven’t conceded a goal since the 11th February. That lone goal came in a 2-1 win over Charlton Athletic.
The mood and confidence are good. The expectation is that Fleetwood will fight for everything as they seek to extend their best-ever FA Cup run.
Fleetwood never played in the fifth round, so the prospect of a quarter-final will be mouth-watering for the Lancashire club.
They beat local neighbours Morecambe on the weekend and that 1-0 result marked a sixth successive unbeaten game.
