Brighton v Brentford – Betting Preview

Brighton Summary

Sitting in seventh place but with games in hand of those above them, Brighton is within touching distance of 4th place.

They defeated rivals Crystal Palace in the previous match before the international break and sit 7 points off UCL places. However, they will go above Spurs should they win the three matches that they have in hand of the London club.

Life without Graham Potter has become that not only they are just as strong on the pitch, but Brighton is also playing more entertaining football and with better results.

The morale and confidence are excellent in the south coast club.

Looking at team news now for Brighton; Solly March is 100% fit after shaking off a knock sustained in the win over their rivals Palace last time out.

Lallana is missing along with Moder and Lamptey. The host is considered close to full strength.

Brentford Summary

Brentford was a little disappointed not to be able to get all three points against a struggling Leicester side before the international break, settling for a 1-1 draw.

Even still, they remain in an impressive 8th spot and are keeping pressure on the much more fancied sides above them who all contest a spot in the top six places.

They are riding high in the Premier League this season. A win here could take them to 6th place depending on Liverpool’s result in their game at Newcastle.

They respect a modest but thriving Brighton a lot, a club with a similar approach as them off the pitch as them.

Three points give them increased chances of playing European football next season, but they would haply take a point here.

Looking at team news now for the high-flying visitor, where Thomas Frank has several players carrying knocks and considered doubtful.

Lewis Potter remains out and he is joined by Janelt and Ajer, while there is a suspension to Baptiste.

Rasmussen is also struggling to get fit for the game on the south coast,  but his possible absence doesn’t affect their strength in the starting side.

Betting Analysis

Looking at the 1×2 market first. Brighton is the favourite to win the game between these two high-flying surprise package clubs, they are @ 1.65.

Brentford is normally hard to beat and will be so here if they play their best. This is something of a clash of styles, where their aggression and commitment of the visitor could make it tough for the ball-playing host.

Brentford is @ 5.00 while the draw is @ 4.10. Preference for the draw here which looks to provide the value.

Moving onto the Asian handicap betting for this contest. Brighton -0.75 is @ 1.85. Brentford +0.75 is @ 2.02.

Looking at The Under/Over goal betting last of all. The line is set at 2.75. I could see this one ending 0-0 as easily as it ends 2-2 or 3-3, so easy pass on goals.

The Over is @ 1.96 and the Under is @ 1.87.
