Arsenal v Leeds United- Betting Preview
Arsenal Summary
Arsenal was knocked out of the Europa League by Sporting Lisbon but many within the club and a big section of their fans are inwardly pleased with that. The perception being that this will only increase their chances of winning this dramatic title race.
The host will know the result of their challenger Man City before this game starts but either way, three points against Leeds enables them to maintain or extend their 8-point lead at the top of the EPL.
The Premier League was undoubtedly the focus and priority for the North London club this season, but they were aware of damaging momentum should they get knocked out of the Europa League, so that is a minor worry here.
Even with that possible setback, the mood in Arsenal is superb right now and they all believe in lifting the trophy this season.
Looking at team news now for, there are a couple of concerns but nothing major.
The North Londoners were already without Saliba, Nketiah, and Elneny.
They are joined on the side-lines by decent squad player Tomiyasu, he is out for the season after a knock sustained in Japanese action.
The are a couple of new doubts due to international representation, with Tierney and more importantly Partey carrying knocks. The latter is rated 50/50 and would be a big blow if both are out.
Leeds Summary
Leeds United comes into the game with reasonable confidence having won 4-2 against relegation rivals Wolves in the last game before the international break.
The squad is in good spirits and still on an upward curve under the new boss Javi Gracia. The Spanish manager has quickly improved results and performances, and confidence is higher than it has been all season.
Taking his squad to Arsenal this weekend will be the biggest test so far, and Gracia would love to take a point from the match.
They don’t expect anything in reality but cannot let any game pass expecting to lose, as they only have a 2-point lead over the drop zone.
They got a credible 2-2 draw with highflyers Brighton before the exciting win over Wolves, meaning the new boss has only experienced one loss in his first four matches since taking charge, winning twice in that time.
Looking at the Leeds team news now, which sees the busy American midfielder Tyler Adams as the most significant absence.
After appearing for their respective nations during the international break, both Gnonto and Wober are big doubts.
The exciting winger Gnonto would be a significant absentee for the visitor if he misses out here.
The long-term important regulars remain out, with Dallas and Forshaw not expected back this campaign.
