Jurgen Klopp’s men are now unbeaten for 25 matches in all competitions and looked like a team high on confidence and efficiency. They were the best team on the pitch and deservedly won the match. Atletico, on the other hand, were very slow to get themselves into the match and when they tried to accelerate, an unfortunate red card took the game away from them. However, they did a good job in containing Liverpool to just two goals even after playing with 10 men for most of the match.
