After that the game came to a long, indecisive standstill. It took until the 74th minute before Wilfried Zaha increased the lead.
Donny van de Beek reduced the score for Manchester United, in the 80th minute. However, Manchester United were unable to make more of an impression.
Crystal Palace increased the lead to 1-3 just five minutes later as Wilfried Zaha scored one more time. This occasion he scored a goal. This brought the final score to 3-1.
On Saturday, Man United will play away to Brighton at 12:30 pm, while Palace will face Everton at home at 3pm.
